The Adam Smith Connection
With links to nursery, primary and high schools as well as the University of Dundee established, the Lomond Group continues to expand their commitment to supporting the growth and development of learning in our young people.
In June this year Lomond Group Director Alan Seath will speak to a wide ranging audience on the subject of the sustainable construction industry at the Adam Smith College in Glenrothes. Further events are planned for 2010.
Alan has become a member of the Construction Advisory Board at the College. He will be looking to develop opportunities for the Lomond Group and the wider construction industry to engage with this well known Scottish place of learning. The intention is to create knowledge sharing as part of a business/education partnership.
An agreement has also been reached between the College and the Group, securing the sponsorship of the Lomond Homes Award. This will recognise the achievements of one outstanding student during the academic year. A cheque is to be presented at the graduation ceremony later this year. The college recognise that these awards make such a difference to students and when included on a CV this assists the job prospects of the successful individual. The Lomond Group are proud to be the sponsor of such an award as the company continue to ensure that people “live the difference”.
